(c) Syed Shamsheer Ali +4
(d) Mr Siddhant Sharma +4

The Indian polo team touring Australia played its first game at the royal agricultural show on Friday. The 3 a side 4 chukker match played against an Australian select side was played at the agricultural stadium in Olympic park, Sydney.
Playing unfamiliar horses, the team of Naveen (3), Siddhant (4) and Shamsher (4), 11 goals was up against a strong Australian team - Jake Daniels (5), Aiden Nunn (3) & Will Gilmore (4) - 12 goals.
Playing in front of a loud and partisan crowd, the team was slow to start with given the unfamiliar conditions going down by two goals in the first chukker. However, with some strong attacking play and hard riding, the team drew level in the next chukker. The Australian team went up ahead in the third chukker but the Indians came back strongly in the last chukker.
The final score 6-5 in favour of the home team. The scoreline shows that there was very little between the teams and the spectators were enthralled with a tightly fought intense game of fast Polo.
The Indian team was scheduled to play on 07 Apr 2024 at Windsor Polo Club. Unfortunately due to heavy downpour in the areas and around Windsor Polo Club had been totally flooded and all horses have been evacuated from the club and adjoining farms. Therefore regretfully the match between Australia and India scheduled for 07 Apr 2024 had been called off.
